The ideal candidate will be capable of handling a diverse set of projects and will benefit from significant flexibility in their work schedule.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist senior attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including research, case preparation, and court appearances.Draft, review, and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and legal arguments.Participate in client meetings, providing updates and discussing case strategies.Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration hearings.Maintain client confidentiality and provide high-quality legal counsel.Stay updated on developments in law and precedent to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.Manage a diverse caseload with varying degrees of complexity.Participate in settlement negotiations and draft settlement agreements.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admittance to the State Bar of North Dakota.Experience in litigation preferred.Strong understanding of federal and state court procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of North Dakota.Additional certifications in specialized areas of law (preferred).Skills:Exceptional legal research and writing skills.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
