A VERY ACTIVE & FUN FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hello there! I’m Cosmo! I’ve had a home since I was a puppy, but unfortunately my family was moving and could not take me with them. That makes me sad, but I am thankful that Mosty Mutts was able to welcome me into the MM family. I am getting great care from the dedicated volunteers who come to care for me and am now ready to find my new home! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but my former owner said that I liked the dogs I met while I was with them, so if you have a nice doggie who is looking for an active friend, let’s meet! / I was reportedly good with cats in my previous home – though I was scared and would run if they were mean to me. It will likely depend on the kitty, but if you have a dog-friendly kitty at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / My former owner said I was good with kids though I don’t recall their ages and I recently met children at Mostly Mutts and was jumpy and impulsive with them, so older kids (age 15+) would be the best fit in my new home and of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am an active guy and am looking for a family that will provide me with lots of opportunities to have fun with and be active with them. Sweet and friendly, I quickly gained the nickname of a fun ‘wild child’ due to my high energy level. I guard balls and sticks, so I will need your help with my training to curb this behavior and Mostly Mutts will help you with tips on that and provide training. / My energy level is 6 -8 so let’s have some fun together! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I was familiar with several commands in my previous home – including ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’ and ‘high five’. I will be reinforcing these and learning other commands as well, so check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, as well as in my previous home. / My former family reported that I was potty trained, but I've had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my new potty schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play and especially love sticks and balls (a bit too much, as I guard them). I’d love a nice, fenced yard to run off my energy, but supervise me, as I had the ability to jump a fence in my former home. I’d be happiest with a family member who can be active with me and whose schedule provides chances for us to share lots of adventures together. / I would not be happy if I had to spend too much time alone with little exercise. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a family to be active with me and provide me with a great, loving home for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
