The Spirit of Ecstasy onthe hood overlooking the famous front grille tells you everythingyou need to know about the level of perfection it represents. Thisparticular example is dressed in a two-tone green with a singleyellow pinstriping pipe along the body line and is in absolutelyamazing condition. The interior is green as well adorned by realwalnut wood trim throughout the car. All the wood trim is inexcellent condition with no signs of cracking, fading, or chipping.The leather and carpet are all in excellent condition as well,showing little to no signs of age or wear. Even the rear wood folddown tray tables are in excellent condition and working smoothly.Under the classic piano hinge style hood is the famous Rolls-Royce6.2-liter V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. The engineruns smoothly and quietly and has just recently had the fuel systemand generator rebuilt and operating properly. This new 6.2-liter V8ushered in a new era of quiet but powerful motors at Rolls-Royce,and the Silver Cloud II was the launching pad. Utilizing theincreased displacement and dual SU carburetors, this successfullymet the companys standards for power. That level of ease androlling opulence is continued with the power steering, large powerbrakes, and correct GM Hydramatic automatic transmission. In thetrunk you will find the original spare tire and tool kit, but mostimpressive to us was the fact that even the original plug-inservice flashlight is present with the cord still factory wrappedaround the handle. We acquired the vehicle from the heir of anestate and learned that the vehicle has been in the estatesprivate collection for over 30 years since being acquired from amuseum in which it was on display for over 20 years.
