Gaia's client is a leading Consulting engineering firm with a strong commitment to delivering cost-effective and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our well-established and growing Environmental and Planning Team, working on challenging and exciting infrastructure projects across various sectors. Location: Multiple across Ireland with hybrid arrangements available About the role: As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in leading, managing, and coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs to projects. Your focus will be on the management of Environmental Impact backssments (EIAs) to support development consent. This includes overseeing the preparation of Environmental Impact backssment Reports (EIAR), Construction Environmental Plans, and reviewing specialist technical reports. You will work closely with the technical environmental teams, liaise with clients and internal teams, and collaborate within integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and develop solutions following the mitigation hierarchy. Responsibilities: Leading, managed, and coordinated multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure projects. Managing EIA projects, environmental backssment methods, and applicable planning legislation. Collaborating with technical environmental teams and internal stakeholders. Participating in integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and develop solutions. Managing resources and budgets (with support as applicable). Leading business development opportunities and proposal development. Promoting environmental services to internal and external audiences. Mentoring junior colleagues.
