The Role: As a Lead English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering nationally accredited courses to KS2 - KS4 students, ensuring alignment with the schools vision and principles of ECM. Responsibilities: Collaborate on curriculum development, backssment, and evaluation. Liaise with external providers and mainstream schools for seamless continuity. Deliver subjects and contribute to curriculum monitoring and evaluation. Support the school improvement plan and report on student progress. Advise on resource needs, exam entries, and administration procedures. Attend relevant training, stay updated on educational initiatives, and share information. Maintain curriculum files and identify training needs for subject development. Contribute to annual self-evaluation and reports on teaching and learning. Adhere to policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines, and Child Protection/Safeguarding procedures. Requirements: Previously worked as a Lead English Teacher or in a similar role. Hold a teaching qualification. Knowledge of the National Curriculum. Experience with SEN students and working across key Stage/s. Understanding of statutory legislation Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, DES, and SEN. Enhanced DBS certification. Skilled in teamwork, planning, record-keeping, and ICT.
