Catalent Pharma in San Diego, CA is hiring a Scientist 1, Oral Formulation Development. An individual at the level of Scientist 1 will be expected to perform all the duties of an Associate Scientist but with a greater degree of autonomy. In addition, the Scientist 1 must be able to independently plan and execute simple laboratory experiments and will be expected to clearly communicate the status of projects to management and Clients. The Scientist 1 will be developing the use of innovation and creativity in exploring alternative approaches to problem solving. The individual must have basic experience in designing oral formulations, such as solutions, suspensions, capsules, tablets, and amorphous intermediates. The individual may be required to assist in the creation and/or revision of company SOPs and will be increasingly sought for training and mentoring of other colleagues. All duties will be performed in compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, as appropriate. This is a full-time position: Monday - Friday, days.
