We are looking for a Graduate Research & Development R&D Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a well-established Manufacturing company based in the Blackpool area. Salary £25,000 - £30,000 per annum The holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus the 8 bank holidays Jan to Dec Some degree of flexibility in the office / flexible working Car parking facilities General profit share scheme - once been with the Company for 13 weeks Pension scheme Christmas shutdown Christmas last day celebrations - half-day finish Casual/dress down Friday on the last Friday of every month - £1 donation for charity Overtime rate - paid at time & a fifth Working hours 39.5 per week as follows: Monday to Thursday – 8:30am-5:00pm 30 mins unpaid lunch Friday – 8:45am – 5:00pm 45 mins unpaid lunch The Role: This is a multi-skilled / multi-disciplinary role for someone who thrives in a varied work setting. The right candidate will be as comfortable in a hands-on workshop environment as they are at a desktop undertaking report writing or 3D CAD modelling. An engineering or product design background and a general understanding of materials & manufacturing processes, ideally at degree level but other qualifications/experience will be considered. We are looking for experience of Solidworks or Inventor. The Candidate: An engineering or product design background and a general understanding of materials & manufacturing processes, ideally at degree level but other qualifications/experience will be considered. Must be able to cope with a physically demanding job role including the use of power tools, occasional working at heights and some heavy lifting.
