Summer Season PM Restaurant ServersHotel Colorado is hiring for our Summer Season! We are looking for outgoing personalities who can multi task to work in our restaurant as PM Servers. If you have experience that would be great but we are willing to train applicants. Your pay rate at this position will be $10.63/hr. plus tips. Our company has an Employee Assistance Program available to all employees and immediate family members.Hotel Colorado has been delighting guests with its legendary hospitality since 1893. The first phase of a $10 million restoration of the Hotel Colorado was completed in August 2019 with improvements to and discoveries in six restored meeting and banquet rooms. Original brick fireplaces were uncovered in four of the rooms-Roosevelt, Garden, Taft and Devereux-during the restoration. Currently, Hotel Colorado is undergoing the second phase of renovations with comprehensive floor-to-ceiling remodels in all guest rooms. We are the only full-service hotel in Glenwood Springs; offering breakfast, lunch and dinner service, bar service, on-site catering, audio visual services, and hosting groups ranging from 5 to 300 people. We were the 2022 Silver Medal Winner for Locals Choice Best Place to work with 26 or more employees.What would you do as a PM Server? In the summer we server lunch and dinner in our courtyard, weather permitting. When you first arrive for your shift you would be rolling silverware and polishing glasses and setting up the veranda servers' station. Tables aren't preset in our courtyard. When guests arrive the host(ess)/busser or the server will escort them to the table with menus and rolled up silverware. You will be taking guests' food and beverage orders, communicating the orders to our kitchen staff and delivering the food and beverage orders to the guests with the assistance of a Food Runner. You would make sure guests' beverages are refilled as needed. As a PM server you would present the guests with their checks when they finish their meal, process their payment and make change if needed. Our PM Servers also have a checklist to complete before their shift ends to make sure the courtyard is closed down for the night. If we have bad weather, service moves in to the restaurant.What qualifications do you need for this job? An outgoing personality, the ability to speak with people on all levels, organizational skills and the ability to multi task.
