For more information visit our website at: www.ccs-soaz.org. ***$250.00 Sign-On Bonus*** OVERVIEW: The Program Aide I supports the teaching staff in a licensed childcare and pre-school / after school age facility with implementing classroom and recreational activities for children 3-12 years of age. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED 6 months classroom experience working in an Early Childhood or Youth/After-School facility Ability to organize activities for children ages 3-12 Good communication skills, using appropriate grammar and tone Ability to lift 20 pounds 10 % of work time, bend, stoop, reach, and climb Attainment of First Aid and CPR certification after hire Attainment of Food Handlers Certification after hire DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working toward a Child Development Associates (CDA) certificate or Associate in Early Childhood Education or related field Additional experience working with school age children in the classroom and/or in a recreation facility Certificate or AA degree in Early Child Education or related area Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written AGENCY REGULATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age Valid Driver's License, proof of insurance, and 39-Month MVR Report Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card / New Mexico FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Summary clearance Pass pre-employment drug screen ( incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws ) Proof of immunizations to comply with childcare hiring requirements Proof of negative TB test or normal chest x-ray The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
