Mission Details ACTIVITIES : To comply with Bostik Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and other such regulations as set down: To lead NPD projects including formulation testing and scale up validation: To provide expertise and knowledge in the formulation of suitable products for the Bostik business its customers and consumers: To provide technical support for Sales and Marketing Presentation of company products to the sales force and customers: To provide technical support for Operations in all relevant areas of quality and process development as required: To represent Bostik at relevant industry associations to keep abreast of future changes to legislation standards and industry trends Communication of these changes to the business teams: To present NPD and PM ideas and opportunities for consideration by business: To support the RD Manager in meeting departmental objectives CONTEXT and ENVIRONMENT The role operates in a highly competitive, dynamic and innovative environment. The role is laboratory based with all the associated implications for health and safety. The job holder must meet and interact confidently with other internal departments and customers and represent the company in a professional capacity at all times. The role involves external technical support and may require travel in the UK and overseas from time to time to visit affiliate companies customers and raw material suppliers. ACCOUNTABILITY To contribute to the overall development of the business through formulating and developing innovative new products (specifically 1K and 2K polyurethane chemistries), improving existing formulations, providing both internal and external technical support. To lead new product development projects and deliver to market in a timely manner working with commercial Required Profile: A minimum of a 1st degree in Chemistry or closely related subject : A minimum of 4 years experience in formulating adhesives and sealant or similar products highly.
