This position offers up to 1.4FTE permanent Staff Specialist vacancies, with a scheduled commencement in March 2024. THE POSITIONThe position is with the laregst pediatric healthcare entity in Australia and is seeking highly qualified and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join the Psychological Medicine department. This position offers up to 1.4FTE permanent Staff Specialist vacancies, with a scheduled commencement in March 2024. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Child and Adolescent Psychiatry specialist services Deliver excellent clinical care to children and support their families. Conduct research and teaching in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Work across various clinical teams, addressing service needs as determined by the Head of Department. Provide direct patient care, supervise junior medical staff, and offer child psychiatric consultation to non-medical team members. Participate in a telepsychiatry consultation service to a rural health service, including rural visits as required. Manage inpatients in Mental Health Wards, ensuring safe, evidence-based treatment. Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff.
