Smart Works is seeking a PMO Manager to join their team. The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager oversees the PMO process implementation and ensures that information concerning content (e. g. deliverables, risks, issues) passes to and from sponsors. The PMO Manager is deeply involved in improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization project delivery capability. The PMO Manager provides leadership in best practices and is highly customer focused. The PMO Manager must also ensure that the operational issues of the PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders and teams. Finally, the PMO Manager will have direct billable project management responsibility driving customer projects forward to achieve milestones and manage project resource assignments, project scope and project profitability while ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction. As a PMO Manager, you may be required to travel throughout North America approximately 25% of the year when safe and appropriate to do so. While you're not traveling throughout Canada and the US, you will be able to take advantage of our remote culture and work from home or if you would prefer, you can work out of our corporate headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario! This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. This role requires a valid passport/visa to travel between the USA and Canada. What your impact will be: Development of the PMO including high level mission, vision and objectives. Drive continuous process improvement efforts in the areas of project management tools, best practices, methodologies and process controls. Perform ongoing risk backssment and mitigation across projects. Establish clear, measurable objectives for PMO team members and monitor/measure these objectives regularly.
