Responsibilities: • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings• Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer• Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers• Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews• Assist in the development and implementation of firm processes.• Manage client communications and maintain case files.• Flexible to adapt and take on various responsibilities as the firm evolves. Qualifications: • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired• Talented communicator and writer• Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills• 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Compensation: $70,000 About Company: Geller Law, PC is a Criminal Defense Firm established in 2013 by Mr. Geller after several years of being a Public Defender where he handled hundreds of DUI cases and hundreds of other criminal matters in the county of San Francisco and Marin County.
