Mechanical Design Engineer Electric Drives Abingdon We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to work on the concept design and packaging of e Drive system and associated components. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects from an early concept stage on a long: term contract. The role of Mechanical Design Engineer (e Drive) will be to use NX to produce e Drive component and assembly models and associated engineering drawings whilst also being involved in the packaging of this system. A hands: on approach and can: do attitude are essential, as is the ability to challenge mainstream thinking in a constructive and energetic way. As Mechanical Design Engineer : you will be required to Develop 3D models and drawings on NX necessary for the conceptualization, packaging, validation, release and implementation of e Drive products Ensure product designs perform as intended, are reliable, and are safe for manufacturing and the end user Support design reviews within the business Work with cross functional teams to meet the specifications and needs of the customer in the development of new and current products Provide engineering and technical assistance to both internal and external customers As Mechanical Design Engineer you will have Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in a product design or development role Design experience of complex mechanical assemblies and systems (powertrain, drivetrain, rotating assemblies) Proficient with NX CAD platform Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels Possess well: developed product knowledge, problem solving skills Proficient in GD and T What you will get as Mechanical Design Engineer: A competitive contract rate The opportunity to work on exciting and innovative projects from a concept stage A long term contract Suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Design Engineers should apply today by contacting Jeff Lane at Jonathan Lee.
