Opportunities exist for both new / recent Graduates and experienced Chemists. Working in a Synthesis Laboratory you will be a part of a team working closely with the Group and Team Leaders, main responsibilities are synthesis of custom and catalogue products using a range of automated synthesisers. Essential tasks as the Chemist Operation of a range of automated synthesisers Gyros PTI Symphony, Symphony X, Sonata and CEM Liberty Blue Preparation of amino acid solutions and solvents for all automated synthesisers Recording of all chemicals used to enable efficient management of inventory via the ERP system SAPOperation of analytical HPLC, LC-MS and MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer instrumentation for monitoring of intermediate stages of synthesis and interpretation of results Performing a wide range of on-resin manual modifications Responsibility for the set-up and loading of all instruments and written work for manual modifications including checks and approvals Documentation and reporting of all work completed, both written and oral Comply with SOP’s and Work Instructions in all aspects of work Additional Responsibilities as the Chemist Ability to; Handle hazardous materials and chemical waste safely according to COSHH and risk backssments Work on multiple projects simultaneously Maintain a flexible work schedule as needed for project completion Perform lyophilisation Plan and prioritise work load efficiently and effectively Troubleshoot and perform basic service and maintenance on automated synthesisers Experience / Skills required by the Chemist Automated and manual synthesis experience preferred but not essential Organised and methodical The.
