The Youth Offending Team YOT in Barnet is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team as Youth Offending Team Officers. You will play a key role in our multi-agency approach to prevent offending by children and young people. Main Responsibilities: As a Youth Offending Team Officer, you will be responsible for: Supervising statutory orders for children and young people. Ensuring court sentences are delivered. The Youth Offending Team YOT in Barnet is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team as Youth Offending Team Officers. You will play a key role in our multi-agency approach to prevent offending by children and young people. Main Responsibilities: As a Youth Offending Team Officer, you will be responsible for: Supervising statutory orders for children and young people. Ensuring court sentences are delivered. Preparing pre-sentence and referral order reports. Representing the YOT at courts. Working in partnership with other agencies. Using backssment tools to gather and analyse information. Developing and delivering intervention plans. Maintaining accurate records. Keeping up to date with legislation and practice. Ensuring health and safety compliance. Requirements: A professional qualification in social work, probation, youth and community work, health, education OR relevant degree and experience of working with children and young people. Experience of direct work with challenging and hard to engage children and young people. Experience of direct work with offenders. Experience of working within a statutory framework. Strong planning and coordination skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure. Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
