We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and estate planning documents, prepare estate planning templates, navigate estate planning software and legal drafting software, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers• Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems• Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible• Draft wills, trusts and estate planning documents under the guidance of a lawyer• Help lawyers prepare estate planning notebooks and estate planning documents• Draft estate planning documents by using estate planning software and legal management software Qualifications: • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education• Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired• Strong oral and written communication skills• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills• 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly About Company: The focus of the Lanchester Law Firm is personalized, client-based estate planning services in the areas of Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, Living Wills, Final Wishes Instructions, and Probate.
