We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a well-established company. The Package: The basic salary for the Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer role is £19.25 per hour We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a well-established company. The Package: The basic salary for the Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer role is £19.25 per hour You'll also receive other benefits which include the following: 30-minute unpaid lunch break2 x 15-minute paid breaks morning and afternoon20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays Additional 1 day’s holiday per year after 3 years of service up to a maximum of 28 days The standard hours for this role are 08.30-17.00 Mon-Fri 40 Hours with opportunities for overtime The Role: The Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer will undertake the testing and repairs of AC stators and DC armatures in an efficient manner. As the Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer, you will be responsible for: Dismantle and inspect electric motors, fault find and complete reports. Re-build electric motors to specification. Dismantle and backssment of electric motors. Strip stators and record technical specification. Manufacture coils. Copy wind stators. Re-connect stator based on technical information. Armature winding and connecting of commutator. Re-assembly of motor. The Candidate: To be the right person for the Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer role you will require: Essential Skills: Time-served apprenticeship. Minimum of five years’ experience in motor rewinds/ an Electro-Mechanical Winder Engineer role. Strong knowledge of electrical connections. A high level of understanding of winding stators and armatures. Ability to interpret winding diagrams. Preferred Skills: Experience of mechanical repairs pumps / gearboxes / fans.
