Mooshu is a pretty female came to us four years ago. At that time, she was shy and timid, and would run away if anyone got too close. She has since calmed down a lot and accepts soft petting. Last year (2023) she started breeding season behavior, but eventually resorbed the eggs. Currently (3/2024) she seems gravid, but she is still eating good, so without x-rays, we can't be sure. She is curious about her environment and is litter box trained.Adoption processFirst we review you knowledge base of iguana husbandry. We make suggestions or corrections. We require that the enclosure is in move-in condition. A vet familiar with iguanas is required. We can make recommendations. A home visit is performed, or if out of the area, detailed photos are accepted. Our adoption fee is $75 or a spayed female is $100. An adopter has to be over 18 years old and a contract is signed.Shelter locationMost of the iguanas are fostered by me, Kathy, the President. Visits are by appointment only.
