Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Counsel, Patent Litigation, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This role offers a flexible hybrid model (3 days on-site per week with the option to work up to 2 days remote). As Senior Counsel within the Litigation Group of the Global Legal Organization at Johnson & Johnson, you will report into the Global Head of IP Litigation. You will advise and represent the company and each of its two sectors (Innovative Medicine and MedTech) in patent and other IP litigation around the world. You will be joining a fast-paced and growing team tackling novel legal issues, to enable the company to do what it does best, namely care for patients around the world. As a Senior Counsel for Patent Litigation, you will: --- Strategically manage a large portfolio of complex patent litigation in the United States and abroad --- Select and manage outside litigation counsel --- Partner closely with third-party partners, company management, patent attorneys, and other personnel to work collaboratively in support of litigation --- Counsel company management concerning patent, regulatory, and product exclusivity issues --- Actively manage litigation budgets, partnering closely with outside counsel, litigation vendors, and the internal finance team --- Develop strategies to resolve disputes, including negotiating and drafting complex patent settlement and license agreements --- Contribute to cross-functional or departmental projects and initiatives
