Our client is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Derby office. This is an exciting role that has a number of new high: profile projects that need an extra pair of hands If you are looking for a change of environment or looking for a promotion, then this role may be for you. This role would be suited to an Engineer who is looking for progression and development within a trusted consultancy. This consultancy has a good reputation for treating employees well and offering some amazing benefits and a competitive salary. The role: Providing high quality concept, preliminary and detailed technical design on projects requiring highway and drainage design. Carrying out a range of drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, soakaway sizing, foul loads, pipeline capacities and network analysis for a range of drainage applications. Carrying out a range of adoptable and non: adoptable highway, driveway carparking and footpath structural pavement designs for a range of permeable and non: permeable surfaces. Preparing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests and LLFA information requests, relating to drainage designs, flood risk backssments and drainage strategies. Preparing S104, S106 and S185 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Drainage Authority and Planning Authority. Preparing S184, S278 and S38 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Highway Authority. Report writing, e. g. Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk backssments, Drainage Strategy Reports, etc. Managing projects Ensuring that projects are undertaken to the specified budget and timeframes.
