We are looking for an experienced Canadian Associate Lawyer to join our growing boutique law firm. Must have significant experience with Canadian immigration law (US immigration experience is a bonus). We are seeking an experienced associate to join our team in the office in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have 3 plus years of experience in immigration law and must be a Canadian lawyer in good standing and good reputation. This position requires a strong understanding of immigration law and policy and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. It also requires a strong understanding of client management with advising and strategy and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical skills for this position. The position requires a detail-oriented and motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency and excellent client management skills. About You: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: • Demonstrated interest and experience in immigration law for Canadian and/or US immigration law• Superior legal research and writing skills• Excellent oral and written communication• Experience and excellence in complex legal analysis• Ability to manage many cases simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment• Ability to engage respectfully with clients from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds• Enthusiasm for working in a modern office and using technology to improve the delivery of legal services• You employ creative, innovative strategies to help clients• You work quickly and efficiently while producing high-quality work• You want to work in a systems-oriented law firm that prides itself on efficient turnarounds on cases or less• You desire a competitive base salary, PTO, and benefits so that you are highly compensated• You are willing to work within current systems to facilitate fast, high-level results• You are results-oriented.
