The individual we seek will have advanced training and skills in these areas through formal fellowship experience. The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2024. The successful applicant will be managing patients with genitourinary malignancies, covering specialty call and general urology call, educating urology trainees, medical students, and other learners, promoting a positive work culture and supportive training environment, prioritizing patient-centred care, and striving for diversity within the community. The successful candidate will be a surgeon scientist who is interested in basic research, must hold a MD degree, and certification in Urology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or a recognized equivalent certifying body. The individual must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. All candidates must be proficient in English. A secondary graduate degree is required at the doctoral level (Ph D). Applicants should demonstrate a track record of commitment to excellence in urologic surgery training, clinical service, and scholarship, and seek a position that would involve a 70%-time commitment to academic activities focused on basic research.
