We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist specializing in Analytical Chemistry to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with preparative High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), particularly in Reverse Phase (RP) and Ion Exchange chromatography. Additionally, proficiency in various Mass Spectrometry techniques. They will also be contributing to the characterization and analysis of novel therapeutic compounds and drug delivery systems. Responsibilities * Perform preparative HPLC using RP and Ion Exchange chromatography techniques to purify and separate complex mixtures of compounds, with a focus on therapeutic molecules and lipid nanoparticles. * Develop and optimize analytical methods for the characterization and quantification of compounds, including small molecules, peptides, proteins, and nucleic acids, using a variety of analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and Mass Spectrometry. * Conduct in-depth analysis of formulated lipid nanoparticles, including particle size analysis, drug loading efficiency, stability studies, and characterization of lipid composition. * Utilize Mass Spectrometry instruments (e.g., LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, ESI-MS) for qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds, interpretation of spectra, and identification of unknown compounds. * Design and execute experiments to investigate the physicochemical properties, stability, and degradation pathways of drug candidates and drug delivery systems. * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including chemistry, formulation, pharmacology, and manufacturing to support drug development projects and ensure analytical needs are met. * Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and data analysis in compliance with regulatory requirements and company SOPs. * Provide technical expertise, troubleshooting support, and training to junior scientists and team members as needed. Required Skills * Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 2+ years of industry experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. * Extensive hands-on experience with preparative HPLC techniques, particularly in RP and Ion Exchange chromatography. * Proficiency in various Mass Spectrometry techniques (LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, ESI-MS) and data analysis software for compound identification and quantification. * Any understanding of lipid nanoparticle formulation, characterization, and analysis would be a plus. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods and instruments. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. * Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced research environment. * Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH guidelines) and experience in supporting regulatory submissions is desirable.
