Location:Florence, AL Southwire Job DescriptionJob Summary/Objective: This position has the primary responsibility of creating long term strategic relationships with an appropriate supply base to support meeting the financial objectives of the overall business. The incumbent is responsible for leading cost control and cost reduction activities associated with the acquisition of finished goods, machinery & equipment, spare parts & services to support the Southwire Operations. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supplier selection, contract negotiation, bid analysis, issuing purchase orders, reporting analysis, & system training. This position will also maintain a positive working relationship with the supplier network and internal customers including cohorts from all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: --- Responsible for all purchases related to special projects.
