Reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisor, the Acting Coordinator, Health & Safety is responsible for the administration and coordination of site safety programs. This position will be dedicated to being a resource for Fording River Operational groups, focused on ensuring Health and Safety of employees and contractors. You’d be working a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off and it is a temporary 18-month role with the possibility of extension in the future. To be successful, we require someone who can multitask, stay organized, and support multiple scopes within a fast-paced team environment. The successful individual is self-motivated and possesses strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. This role involves collaborating with contractors and stakeholders on safety initiatives and programs, thus a flexible attitude, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for success. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive our next major project approval vital to Teck's ongoing success. You will work on an exciting and dynamic project, collaborating with multiple departments. This is a high visibility project and would be an important career achievement for anyone!
