Inspired by its location overlooking the Royal Parks, the hotel delivers elegant natural interiors and award-wining seasonal cuisine. As an integral role within the business, the Head of security will support the creation of, and execute, the hotel security strategy. You will own and shape the security activities needed to ensure the hotel is maintained to the highest standards of security, including systems and processes, and that the building, and the persons within it, are always safe and secure. As part of this role, you will oversee and ensure ongoing departmental training initiatives related to fire, life and safety and be responsible for overseeing and driving compliance with the IHG Risk Management Calendar. Having a good investigative ability is a must, to produce clear and detailed reports along with recommendations. Our Leaders mentor and build confidence, recognise good work and ensure full training plans are in place for all colleagues. You will build an inclusive working environment where new ideas are welcome and best practices can be shared. Critical expertise & recent experience: To have held people leadership role in one or more hotel security departments for 3 or more years in a global hotel brand of the same classification SIA licence holder and First Aid trained Experience at least three of the following; responsibility for testing and record keeping for fire, life and safety systems, taking remedial action on the fire risk backssments, sourcing and working with contractors on technical services and projects, writing a full security.
