Mediplacements is looking for a skilled and experienced band 8a Histology Biomedical Scientist to fill an ongoing locum role in our clients laboratory based in Manchester. This position is due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of GBP30: GBP35 per hour. Working pattern: 37.5 Mon : Fri 9.00am: 5.00pm Specific skills: Knowledge of tissue dissection within specialties such as dermatology, GI, gynaecology, head and neck. Individual with training, knowledge, and experience in tissue dissection of various specialties in Histopathology. Desirable to have the Advanced Diploma for Tissue Dissection in GI, Breast or a other specialty or working toward this qualification. The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have experience with histology techniques such as embedding, sectioning, staining, and reporting of histology specimens. They must also be familiar with the use of a range of laboratory equipment and be able to troubleshoot and maintain them as required.
