SENIOR R and D SCIENTIST : BIOSCIENCE : FULL TIME PERMANENT : CAMBRIDGESHIRE : COMPETITIVE BASIC SALARY and EXCELLENT BENEFITS Our client is seeking for an experienced Senior R and D Scientist to join their team in a permanent, full time basis. at their premises in Cambridgeshire. Our client focuses in developing and manufacturing medical devices. This is an opportunity to join an early: stage but rapidly growing Med Tech company and to share in their success as they grow. As the Senior R and D Scientist, you will report to the Assay Development Leader and support their activities on the development of Lateral Flow Immunoassays. The role: Investigate new technologies Conduct feasibility studies Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes and equipment Processing and analysing results and data Writing technical reports and specifications, and maintaining appropriate records Lead and conduct the validation and verification activities of the assays Lead the Product Transfer of the assays Prepare written SOPs for laboratory methods, procedures and instrumentation Input necessary material into the design file and ensure regulatory data is correctly logged Provide information and help prepare publication documents for journal submission Working from our clients, St Neots, Cambridgeshire location. The person: Bachelors degree in a related field (essential) Ph D in a related field (desirable) Minimum 5 years experience working in a diagnostics / medical devices company Previous experience in the development of lateral flow immunoassays Previous experience in conjugation of proteins on latex or gold nanoparticles Previous experience working under ISO13485 Have strong communication, interpretation and presentation abilities Be passionate about technology, healthcare and entrepreneurship Be an excellent written and oral communicator Be driven, motivated and organised Be a team player with demonstrable leadership potential Be a quick.
