Starbright is a licensed Early Learning Center. We have been providing daycare in Surrey for the past 18 years and love what we do. During that time, we have established a wonderful teaching staff. Each of our staff members are fully-qualified Early Childhood Educators. They also have their First Aid and criminal checks complete. It is our standard to backss and work with each individual child at his or her developmental level to build their confidence, self-esteem and skills (cognitive, social, emotional, fine motor, and gross motor). We are passionate about giving them a strong foundation to build upon throughout their lives. We work with children with English as a second language and children with other developmental challenges. We offer care to the Harold Bishop, W. F. Davidson and Bonacord Elementary Schools. Our after school child care program offers support for the children with their homework. In our daycare, preschool and child care programs, we support all areas of learning. All of the programs have arts and crafts, performing arts activities all in an effort to enable the children to gain confidence in public speaking. Our summer child care programs consist of swimming, field trips and continued school work and arts and crafts. Your Responsibilities will be - Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children backss the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents,.
