The Inspector will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product. Responsibilities: Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products. Inspection of all materials, construction, plant and equipment for conformance to the contract documents and specifications. Performance of all quality control tests as required by the contract documents, plans and specifications. Uses observation and testing to identify compliance in materials and construction processes. Uses statistical methods to evaluate quality of full product throughout all stages of construction for delivery to clients or customers. Compares results of inspections and tests to company’s quality standards; reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps. Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by QC Manager. Consults with QC Manager to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable materials or processes. Maintains quality records as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Coordinates with project team and QA team. Requirements: Personnel shall be engineering technicians, inspectors or experienced craftsman with qualifications in the appropriate equivalent to NICET Level II, Higher construction materials technician or highway construction technician and shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in their area of expertise. Certification at an equivalent level, by state or nationally recognized organization will be acceptable in lieu of NICET certification. Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected. Thorough attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
