About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer within the Foundational Hosting Environments (FHE) team and reports directly to the Data Center Site Manager responsible for one or more Core/Regional Data Centers.You will be responsible for design, build, enhance and integrate the technology infrastructure required to support various portfolios. It is also a governing focal point for all site activities, ensuring site integrity and systems availability through the enforcement of corporate security and governance policies, information processing facility specifications, technology standards, processes, and disciplines. Provides proactive identification of risk and the creation and execution of risk remediation plans. Also, provide direction or guidance to less experienced staff comprised of a team of data center engineers covering 7x24x365+ managing the physical data center hardware and Layer1 cabling changes. Oversees scheduling of installations, decommissions, research, and troubleshooting of hardware and environmental events related to data center availability. Must be capable of taking calculated risk with the best interest of the shareholder in mind, make sound decisions in the absence of detailed instruction, create, implement, and maintain management policies, standards and guidelines designed to implement, support and protect our most valuable IT assets. Responsible for establishing, standardizing, and implementing site specific operations policies, standards and guidelines in collaboration with the Corporate Properties Group and other site management partners. Hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with the following days being worked: Week one: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat. Week Two: Sun, Mon, Wed. In this role, you will: Support initiatives that deliver workable end to end infrastructure solutionsParticipate in test planning and executionCommunicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updatesDesign, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various platforms and our business portfolioTroubleshoot and resolve tickets during implementation of store networksTroubleshoot and resolve first level network and wireless issuesPresent recommendations for resolving ticket requests, and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of the process, policies and risk controlsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsInteract with internal customersResponsible for Asset management that includes inventory management, ordering, shipping and receivingReceive and unpack hardware, servers and other equipmentHardware Rack and StackProvision and install Power and Network CablesComplete diagnostic and quality assurance inspectionsPerform Audits and Data Corrections to ensure all inventory controls are metReconcile and report inventory discrepancies Required Qualifications, US: 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education1+ years of data center experience Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting technology at an enterprise-levelAbility to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations; including managementExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with server, storage, mainframe, and network hardwareProficiency with Layer 1 Infrastructure deploymentsExtensive knowledge of data center operations (space, power, cooling and network)Precise attention to detail and strong organization skillsFocus on strong risk management in critical environments Job Expectations: Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environmentAbility to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduledMust be able to lift 50lbsThis is an onsite positionMust be able to work scheduled hours as listed in job description Posting End Date: 15 May 2024 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
