Based in Coraopolis, PA, the H&K Equipment Group of companies is the region's leading material handling equipment dealer that specializes in the selling, leasing, refurbishing and servicing of industrial equipment and mobile construction machinery including forklift trucks, container handlers, railcar movers, industrial floor sweepers and scrubbers, yard spotter trucks and even high-end granite countertops. We have 11 locations throughout Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Allentown, Harrisburg, Syracuse and the New England market and we employ over 350 people. We are currently seeking an experienced freight Dispatcher whose primary responsibility will be to schedule freight for our transportation group, CICKO, based out of our Coraopolis, PA shop. Applicant must have a proven record in a service or logistics environment. This is a full-time exempt day position. RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule freight deliveries and pickups of equipment, parts, and other loads Schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations Prepare dispatch documents, as well as freight bills and invoices Log customer shipping schedules, complaints, and review drivers' logs Work with Transportation Management Software (TMS) Available for occasional after-hours calls REQUIREMENTS At least two years of experience as a freight or truck dispatcher; 3-5 years of experience preferred Ability to work under pressure is essential Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws Experience with DAT load boards Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook High school diploma or equivalency BENEFITS Competitive salary and commission which is commensurate upon experience.
