Meet Valerie! She is the sweetest little girl! Valerie was found as a stray in rural Georgia. When her time at the shelter was up, BCAA stepped in to save her. We believe she is a beagle/terrier mix, but even with her long legs, she only weighs 12.5 lbs. She is approximately 10 years old, an absolute sweetheart and gets along great with other animals. She is very quiet and gentle and loves to go for walks. She would do best in a situation where she can be taken outside several times during the day. She was recently spayed, microchipped, had bloodwork and is up to date on her vaccines. If you think Valerie might be a good fit for you, please fill out an application. PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. May 1, 2024, 10:37 amAdoption processOur adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.Shelter locationWe have weekly adoption events at PetsMart every Saturday from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm at the Eastgate Square Shopping Center, Rt. 38, Moorestown, NJ and PetsMart, 62 Centerton Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
