Our Global Operations Team - all business professionals of the firm - was named the "Best Business Team" by The American Lawyer .As the Senior IT Trainer, you are responsible for planning and delivering of Information Technology training for attorneys and professional staff. This position reports to the Director, Service Desk & Training Operation and works closely with the Human Resources and Learning + Professional Development departments. What You'll Do: * Provide training on all firm-supported software via instructor-led classroom training, webinars, videoconferencing, one-on-one coaching, and via eLearning course and video tip creation.* Conduct new hire technical training.* Collaborate with other IT trainers to create and maintain a workflow-inspired curriculum.* Design, develop and deliver training strategies that are engaging, innovative, and meet learning objectives.* Represent the user experience via participation in firm-wide project teams from inception to implementation by testing software, developing training strategy and producing supporting documentation and communications.* Conduct training needs analysis, analyze performance problems, and recommend training solutions.* Collaborate with internal customers to understand unique requirements based on role, business unit, and office location, and offer training solutions that are adaptable to those needs.* Stay up to date with current trends in training, technology, and instructional design.* Maintain training records in the LMS.* Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.* Ability to travel between firm offices to conduct on-site training as needed. Who You Are: * A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience will be considered.* A background in training and development in a professional service environment, law firm experience preferred.* Minimum of five years' experience delivering technical training and creating training documentation.* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad range of people in a professional manner.* Excellent group facilitation skills, including the ability to adapt content to the target audience or to suit the training delivery method.* Interpersonal and relationship building skills to work effectively with personnel from all levels and locations of the firm.* Strong organization and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities, whether working independently or in a team situation.* Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate training outlines and user documentation. A writing sample will be required.* Experience with Learning Management Systems (UniversitySite preferred), Document Management Systems (iManage Work preferred), Windows10, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat DC, Time Entry & Billing Programs (Intapp Time and Aderant Expert preferred), and Document Template and Numbering software (Litera Forte or Create preferred).* Experience with eLearning development.* Ability to work hours outside of regular schedule.Consistent with the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance an arrest and conviction record will not automatically disqualify a qualified applicant from consideration.Goodwin Procter LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
