Merchants Market, LLC is a full-service food distribution company that provides a variety of services to meet the needs of our customers.-- We have over 50 years of experience in providing full and direct services to restaurants, resorts, healthcare, convenience stores, and other industries and businesses throughout the Caribbean.-- We ensure customers have exclusive products, quality service, and a seamless order and delivery process.-- Our mission is to prioritize professionalism and efficiency.----We're located in West Palm Beach Florida, St. Thomas USVI, St. Croix USVI, and Anguilla BVI.----Job Summary:The Inventory and Compliance Manager role at Merchants Export involves overseeing all inventory and compliance operations.Essential Functions:--- -- --Oversees inventory controls in all temperature zones.----- -- --Researches all inventory discrepancies and performs inventory adjustments if necessary.--- -- --Processes returns from the customers and authorizes credits.--- -- --Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, pick slips, and receiver reports.--- -- --Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.--- -- --Completes all functions pertaining to annual inventory counts.----- -- --Ensures compliance with USDA and FDA regulations and acts as the primary interface with regulatory representatives.--Required Education and Experience:----- -- --High School diploma--- -- --Prior purchasing experience, preferably in a food distribution environment----- -- --Minimum of 5 years of Quality Management experience--- -- --AIB International Food Safety Certification or SQF Practitioner for 3+ years.--- -- --PCQI Certification or Obtainable within 18 months--- -- --HACCP Certification or in training--- -- --Microsoft Office skills--Physical Requirements:--Able to work in an office environment and lift up to 25 pounds.Benefits:--- -- --Comprehensive Benefits (medical, dental, vision)--- -- --Employee Assistance Program (EAP)--- -- --Basic Life and AD&D--- -- --STD/LTD available--- -- --Health Reimbursement/Health Saving Account - Must be enrolled in an eligible high deductible medical plan--- -- --401(k) - Discretionary Company Match--- -- --Paid Time Off (PTO)--- -- --Uniform (depending on position)EEO Statement:Our company is committed to equal employment opportunities.
