The ideal candidate should possess excellent research and analytical skills, along with a strong understanding of education law and related regulations.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on various operational, legal issues faced by K-12 schools and community colleges.Advise clients on matters related to education law, contracts, employment, and compliance.Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and administrative proceedings.Provide legal guidance on student rights, special education, and discipline matters.Stay updated on changes in education law and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive counsel.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.Assist in preparing and presenting training sessions or seminars on relevant legal topics.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the state of California.2+ years of experience as an attorney, preferably in education law or related fields.Strong knowledge of education law, including relevant state and federal regulations.Excellent research and analytical skills.Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Certifications (Optional):Certification in Education Law (e.g., from a relevant bar association) is a plusSkills:Legal research and analysis.Education law expertise.Contract drafting and review.Negotiation and mediation skills.Client counseling and communication.Problem-solving and critical thinking.Compliance and regulatory knowledge.Teamwork and collaboration.
