The role involves all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, motion practice, deposition attendance, and trial support. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and be a proactive self-starter.Duties:Handle all phases of civil litigation related to insurance coverage matters.Draft and analyze pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.Conduct legal research and draft coverage opinions.Interpret insurance policies and litigate coverage disputes.Take and defend depositions.Assist in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.Maintain client relationships and provide legal counsel as needed.Manage highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism.Requirements:5-10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on First Party coverage and bad faith defense.Member in good standing of the California State Bar and United States District Court, Central District of California.Experience interpreting insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions.Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.Results-oriented with a high level of initiative.Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to build rapport with clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat in a paperless Mac environment.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Admission to the United States District Court, Central District of California.Skills:Litigation experience with emphasis on insurance coverage matters.Strong legal research and writing abilities.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
