We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated CNC Machinist IV for our Specials Value Stream to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on 2nd shift. The core hours for the position are 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, at the end of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overtime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 hours in a week. Power your career with an industry leader that powers the future. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Independently set up, adjust, troubleshoot and check programming. Operate numerically controlled machine tools (2 axis lathe / 3 axis mill) to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring an intermediate level of skill Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of program formats involving combinations of operations such as milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, threading, screw machine operation, etc., to the capacity of the machine and control factor Works from programs, operation sheets, and machine setup instructions Self-sufficient with material clamping methods, machine adjustments/offsets and console settings.
