Our continued growth has created an immediate need for an MEP Superintendent located in the Ossining, NY.The client for this project is for the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).Please provide references upon resume submission. Responsibilities Overall contract compliance via daily inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work Completion of Daily Field reports which track weather, contractor activities, sub-contractors, visitors, field directives, and manpower. Review contractor As-Builts monthly to ensure they are updated Conduct and document per D&C Procedures onsite QA/QC activities through use of First Delivery Inspections, Closure Inspections, Mock-Up Inspections, and Acceptance Testing Prepare and coordinate Pre-Activity meetings prior to significant scopes of work. Perform a detailed comparison of the contract drawings, specifications, and approved product submittals to ensure conformance with the contract. Monitoring of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing sub-contractors & suppliers Assist the contractor(s) with the coordination of activities on the construction site with the other trades and the facility Monitor workforce and performance against the work plan Ensure OSHA 10 cards are on file for each worker Ensure compliance with generally accepted standards of workmanship for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades Offer recommendations to improve constructability Complete punch lists and track completion Coordination and scheduling with 3rd party specialty inspections (i.e.: asbestos abatement monitoring or steel inspection) Perform additional duties as deemed necessary Qualifications Willingness to work inside minimum and maximum security correctional facilities. OSHA 30 certification. Familiarity with the Uniform Building Code Requirements for non-residential work. Ability to interpret contract documents for inspection and verification of compliance. Must possess strong communication abilities. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, possess a driver's license, have reliable transportation and be able to work autonomously. Minimum (6) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation project. Minimum (4) years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building project. Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred.
