Full-time Nanny in San Bruno, CA for a 4-month old, 4-year-old

Location:
San Bruno, CA
Description:

A bit about us: We’re a kind and tight-knit party of 5 who enjoy family time together, going for walks, arts and crafts, and playing games. We’re Super Mario and Zelda fans when it comes to video games! My husband works remotely from home and I work outside the home half the time. Our 4-month-old daughter wakes up happy in the morning, but by evening she can get grumpy. She is really good at sleeping, and she’s pretty chill about being held in a baby carrier. Our 4-year-old son (starting kindergarten in August) is a happy-go-lucky kid! He likes attention and will want you to play with him. He also likes make-believe and anything his big brother is into. Currently, he’s loving Math! Our 8-year-old son (3 rd grade in the fall) can play independently and enjoys reading books. He’s into planets and all things Science and STEM. He can be a little moody, but overall he’s an easy kid. A bit about you: You are an energetic, playful, and attentive nanny with open communication. You enjoy listening to kids. You love babies and kids of all ages! You are not ruffled by working with multiple children, and you are all too familiar with the wild brotherly energy that can sometimes happen. You are looking for a wonderful family to have a fulfilling long-term job with where you are appreciated for the important job that you do. You are comfortable playing with the children indoors only, because at this time we are not allowing outdoor play to keep our infant healthy. You are okay limiting screen time, but we understand that the TV might be needed sometimes when all 3 children are home. Job Duties: Diaper changes, bottle feeding, preparing snacks, playing with the kids, sensory play with our infant, ensuring safety, tidying up toys, cleaning and sanitizing bottles and breast pump equipment, bottle training and sleep training, following our parenting style, and basic child-related cleaning like washing dishes and doing kids’ laundry. Your primary focus will be caring for our infant, but all three kids will be your responsibility for the last few hours of each weekday. *In the summer there will be full days with all 3 kids and other days where the two eldest are at day camp. Position Highlights : Guaranteed Hours Legal W-2 Payroll Long-term Outlook (2 years) Some Paid Holidays Some Sick Pay/PTO Vacation Hours No Pet Care No Driving Children No Dinner Prep *unless you love to cook! No Grocery Shopping Qualifications : You have 2 years minimum childcare experience with infants, toddlers, and school-age children (will consider candidates with infant experience that does not go as young as 4 months old), experience caring for multiple children at once, you own a reliable car, have a valid Driver’s License, are fluent in English, and have glowing childcare references. Set yourself apart : You have experience with sleep training and/or transitioning stubborn breastfed babies to bottles. You love Science, Math, and arts and crafts! You are a high-energy nanny! Schedule: Monday-Friday (10a-6p) Pay: $30-$34 an hour **All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired. Please do not apply if you object to legal and taxed payroll following CA law. Nannies cannot be independent contractors in the state of CA. *Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Powered by JazzHR
