Monitor multiple work queues for order entry and processing. Should have experience in retail or mail order pharmacy setting. Experience in typing prescriptions and adjudicating claims preferred. Position has the potential for hybrid after completion of onsite-only training period. Hybrid schedule is set by leadership and subject to change based on departmental needs. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Complete special projects as assigned by supervisors Required Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before hire date, verifiable through the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Proficient communication, computer, and basic mathematic skills are necessary. Must be able to prioritize with accuracy and dependability. Reliability and punctuality are a must. Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment and be a team player. Desired Qualifications* At least one-year technician experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program is highly desirable Basic algebra including performing pharmacy calculations is also highly desired. Proficient computer skills. MiChart, QS1, Microsoft suite program knowledge all a plus. Licensure & Certification The State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires all Pharmacy Technicians to be licensed. The new regulations allow for a one-time temporary license for up to 1 year, during which time a technician must successfully complete requirements to become certified and meet all other State of Michigan requirements for a Full Pharmacy Technician License. Closed weekends and holidays. Work Locations This position is located at Specialty Pharmacy Services on Joy Rd in Dexter, MI.
