This position is located in Melbourne, Florida. Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems relies on our team to provide the insights needed to drive performance across a broad range of strategic activities.We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to design and develop automated, end-to-end, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines and Data Analytics/Visualization solutions from disparate data sources. You will share in the ownership of the technical vision and direction for advanced analytics systems that change the way we see and use data. We are looking for people who are self-motivated, hardworking, and have demonstrated the ability to find innovative solutions to complex technical problems. Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines utilizing Python and SQL Design, develop, and maintain automated data visualizations in Tableau Data preparation/cleaning, integration, and automation from heterogeneous sources Ensure data integrity and system availability Identify, evaluate, and recommend core technologies and strategies Monitor and optimize system performance Decomposition of user requirements into logical functions/components This position may be filled at a level 2 or level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below. Basic Qualifications: Data Engineer (Level 2) Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with at least 2 years of related experience 2 or more years of experience working with ETL techniques and frameworks Experience with integration of data from multiple sources Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Python and SQL Experience developing and deploying automated data visualizations with Tableau Experience with Agile Software Development Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance Ability to obtain and maintain special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business Principal Data Engineer (Level 3) Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with at least 5 years of related experience 2 or more years of experience working with ETL techniques and frameworks Experience with integration of data from multiple sources Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Python and SQL Experience developing and deploying automated data visualizations with Tableau Experience with Agile Software Development Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance Ability to obtain and maintain special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a STEM field with relevant experience 4+ years of experience working with ETL techniques and frameworks Proficient in Python, SQL, and Tableau Experience with data virtualization (e.g., Denodo) and data catalog (e.g., Collibra) technologies Current Special Program Access What We Offer: At Northrop Grumman, we are on the cutting edge of innovation -- building the next generation of sophisticated aircraft to protect our country. Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900 Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
