CDL Class B Hazmat Delivery Truck Driver

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Hazmat Driver to join our client's logistics team. This role involves making timely and secure deliveries, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and other relevant safety regulations. Ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle hazardous materials responsibly. Key Responsibilities: Core Duties: Ensure safe, complete, and on-time deliveries using the most effective routes. Load and unload vehicles with a focus on security and proper handling of hazardous materials. Support Functions: Collect payments and accurately document all delivery details. Maintain strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Technical and Administrative Tasks: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues to supervisors. Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained. Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all regulatory and company safety standards. Flexibility for Role-Specific Tasks: Continuously enhance job and product knowledge and perform other assigned duties as necessary. Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Experience in handling hazardous materials preferred. Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements: Capable of maneuvering heavy objects, up to 100 pounds. Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old. Possess a valid Class B commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement, or able to obtain one after hiring. A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) with no more than 2 combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years. Ideal Candidate Profile: Adaptability/Flexibility: Comfortable with using PCs and material handling equipment; experience with Moffett, Skelly, or Air Brakes is a plus.
