The California Counties Foundation is the effective and unified voice for California’s 58 Counties. We are a team of advocates who partner with state and federal governments through policies, laws, and funding; and communicate the valuable and critical work accomplished through county government.We are seeking a Sr. Member Engagement Manager who is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of CSAC member services and engagement. This includes serving as a CSAC ambassador to counties, representing the association at formal and informal county events, communications management, and oversight of all large conferences and meetings. Duties also include supervision of professional support staff and budget management. Compensation and Benefits $100,000 - $150,000 annually based on experience Paid Time Off - Full-time employees accrue up to 80 hours of vacation per year plus receive holiday pay for 13 observed holidays Sick Time - 96 hours of paid sick leave per year (8 hours per month) Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance options are available for eligible employees and their dependents on the 1st of the month immediately following hire Eligible employees may participate in San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement System Group life insurance (and AD&D) plan for eligible full-time employees Employee assistance program for eligible full-time employees who receive life insurance Travel assistance program to eligible full-time employees who receive life insurance Schedule 8:30 – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday Travel will be required for the CSAC Annual Meeting, staff retreats, and periodic county meetings. It is anticipated to be less than 10% of annual work time. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Affairs or related field 5+ years of experience communications, public affairs, association management, or association member services 3+ years in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job Responsibilities Establish effective communication strategies to keep members informed about the Association’s activities to tell the county story. Participates in collaborative projects with the Director of Public Affairs to ensure consistent and positive Association brand messaging. Planning and content development of CSAC local and regional outreach and public awareness materials. Oversees the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures to implement member engagement, strategies. Prepares scripts, sets meeting agendas, and monitors project flows. Coordinates and oversees the content development of member publications and the association’s website. Identifies opportunities to enhance member engagement activities and programs. Supervises staff to prioritize and assign work; conduct performance evaluations; ensure staff is trained and understand policies and procedures; maintain a healthy and safe working environment; and, make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Administers and monitors the departmental budget including allocating resources and approving expenditures. Participates in collaborative projects with partnership programs (ex., Corporate Associates, Finance Corp., ILG, CCS); identifies program and/or member needs and provides resources and solutions.
