Description: Job Summary United Way Miami is looking for an enthusiastic Digital Marketing & Communications Intern. In this collaborative, entry-level role, you will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience by working on projects with our Marketing and Communications team. Interns will receive academic credits. This position reports to the Social Media and Digital Marketing Manager. Please send portfolio samples along with your resume to apply for this position. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with updating and/or creating content for United Way Miami's social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube. Assist with scheduling of various social media posts via a social media management platform, such as Meltwater. Assist with digital media libraries, including sourcing, organizing and uploading final photos and/or videos to corresponding sites, such as Flickr and YouTube. Attend United Way events to help capture content for Digital Media libraries and media interviews. Monitor social media trends and best practices. Assist with drafting media materials such as press releases, media alerts, etc. Monitor editorial calendars for media opportunities. Assist with posting United Way events on external calendars, such as SocialMiami, EventBrite, etc. Help maintain an updated media contact list. Complete other administrative tasks as needed. Requirements: Requirements Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program. Schedule: 15-20 hours a week Preferred majors: Communications, Marketing, Business Administration. Technology requirements: Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom and experience using content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
