This position will work a hybrid schedule with a requirement to be on base at NSWC Dahlgren. The Senior Test Engineer Lead will be part of a team of experts charged with providing systems operation expertise to the NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department (V) to plan and execute test engineering activities in support of current and future Combat System Command and Control (C2) functions. Candidate will support seven Product Area Leads in the CIAT Team Structure. Candidate will need to understand all new requirements, scenarios, and support requirements working group efforts within the user community. Primary Duties: Manage the Test Observation Reports (TORs) that have been generated against CIAT, including managing the backlog of TORs. Communicate with data analysts to update the Test Evaluation Database. As TOR Manager, you will be responsible for continually updating the database, adding new reports and closing old ones as required. You will also be involved with test planning and must work closely with data analysts and test directors. Provide evaluation on-site, in the lab, alongside Software Developers, Testers, and Integrators. Operate data gathering software during test events. Conduct and/or participate as a lead engineer in meetings to ensure testing efforts are on track. Work closely with third party vendors, stakeholders, and sponsors through daily duties such as Working Group Meetings. Lead Data Analysis Working Group Meetings to review Test Observation Reports. Occasional travel to NSWC Corona, CA for participation in working groups may be required. Be located on-site in an air gapped facility at NSWC Dahlgren. Skills and Qualifications: Candidate must understand system lifecycle stages and the latest systems engineering standards from INCOSE. Proficiency with preparing and reviewing test documentation and other technical documentation including but not limited to System Requirements Specifications, Capability Requirement Documents, Capability Production Documents, System Engineering Plans, System Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, Interface Design Documents and Specifications. Ability to advise and provide technical expertise to multiple requirements working groups that include government and contractor personnel. Knowledge of AEGIS Tactical System (in specific CIAT), desired but not required Ability to work in an air-gapped environment on classified software products. Ability to communicate effectively within a large, dynamic team environment. Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills. Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality. Microsoft office suite proficiency. Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines Detail oriented Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues Ability to adapt to evolving technology Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering or technical field. Ten plus (10+) years of experience in Systems Engineering, Integration of Combat Systems, Testing, and similar. Two (2) years' experience may be supplemented with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, or related technical field. Experience working in an Agile development environment, desired but not required Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
