Each shift is a new opportunity to Discover Different.Posting Notes: TJ Maxx Store 0679 || 196 Alps Road || Athens || GA || 30606Duties and Responsibilities Maintains a proper and professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store. Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty. Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide sections titled Evacuating People with Disabilities, Missing Child, Store Disturbances, Fire, Severe Weather/Natural Disaster, Bomb Threat, and Imminent Threat. Wear a complete Company approved uniform. Wears a Company-issued Body Worn Camera, engages the camera during approved situations for legal, safety, and training purposes, and adheres to proper use of the body worn camera as outlined in policy and procedure. Greet customers appropriately, demonstrate courtesy and respect. Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department. Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a Company issued radio. Observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or store management. Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management. Adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure to not detain, stop, apprehend, chase, follow, pursue, question, or accuse anyone of dishonesty or make a customer feel uncomfortable in any way. Remain in their designated area of the store (aside from breaks). Call police only when directed by the appropriate LP Associate or Store Management in an emergency. Duties and Responsibilities continued Adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure prohibiting the use or carrying of any weapons, including but not limited to guns, knives, tasers, stun guns, batons, pepper spray or similar devices. Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management. Performs other duties as assigned. Associates receiving day-to-day guidance/direction. Providing Direction/Guidance: 0 Specific Points of Contact LP Management Store Management Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job. High school diploma or equivalent Minimum job skills required to perform this job Strong verbal and written communication Sound decision making skills Ability to take initiative and perform well independently Prioritizes/organizes workload and manages time effectively Able to stand for long periods of time Minimum experience required to perform this job. 0-2 years of experience in retail or security At TJ Maxx there's so much potential to discover something new.
