Position Description:Field Tech - Construction and MaintenanceOklahoma Natural Gas is looking for a Field Technician. We are looking for someone preferably with a Class A CDL license. Job Posting End Date: This job posting will be removed on June 03. 2024. What You Will DoPerform construction and maintenance operating work related to a pipeline system.Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including:Pipe and crescent wrenchesPipe cutters and threadersHammers and screwdriversPicks, shovels, and rakesAir compressors and generatorsPlastic fusion ironsJackhammers and concrete sawsBooms and chainsAir compressors and generatorsMini and large backhoeCombustible Gas IndicatorsTap equipmentNo blow equipmentForkliftRespiratorsOxygen analyzerPerform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment including:Washing truck and equipmentFuel truck and checking fluid levelsApply lubricantsChange oil and filtersCleaning/adjusting toolsInvestigate customer related orders and emergency situations including:Low Pressure callsClass 1 LeaksBlow linesFires/explosionsUndetectable linesRegular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may be asked to perform additional responsibilities as assigned.What You Will NeedKnowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment applicable to the position.Knowledge of application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution pipeline systems.Working knowledge and training relative to:Work in excavations and confined spacesBasic customer service activitiesCompany and governmental operating/safety proceduresFuse plastic pipeCharacteristics of natural gasKnowledge in basic computer functions and software.Understanding of how to read and interpret maps, atlas pages, blueprints, and job orders.Read and write fluently in English.Applicable driver's license.Qualified Plastic Fusion Technician certification.Applicable Operator Qualifications.CDL preferred.Lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 40 pounds 7 10 times a day; over 50 pounds 5 6 times a day.Climb into and out of excavations.Travel over uneven terrain including:MudGravelSandRocksIceSnowReact immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.Smell odorant in natural gas.Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.Operate tools and equipment.Communicate and exchange information and instructions including use of company two way radio and company cell phones.Peripheral vision and accurate depth perception.Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.Diversity at ONE GasInclusion & Diversity is so important to us that we made it one of our core values, values that guide and direct our actions as we go about our daily business.
