We are a family owned and operated business that offers flexible part time & full time positions. We are now hiring for Unarmed Security Guard Shift Lead starting at $18/hr. Shift availability 3rd shift: 6pm-6am What You Will Do Our unarmed security guards protect the residential and commercial properties of our clients against theft, vandalism, fire, and much more. The unarmed security guard position will provide strong security presence and visibility on the site and assist contractors, subcontractors, clients, vendors & visitors with safety, security and customer service. Requirements Minimum of 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Must have your own vehicle to transport to job site Must have own working smartphone Prior security experience preferred Responsibilities Our Unarmed security guards are responsible for observing and patrolling commercial and residential properties to prevent theft & unauthorized access. Security guards will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the sites, as well as patrolling and scanning scan points around the site. Unarmed security guards lead will have the following duties: Responsible for knowing all site-specific policies and procedures and implementing emergency response activities as appropriate . Write detailed, accurate , and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved. Responsible for contacting appropriate individuals (Site Supervision, Field Management, etc.) as directed by site post orders or as needed during shift. Responsible for participating in all company and site required training programs. Respond to any incidents that occur during shift, in conformity with the Post Orders and the Company's Use of Force Policy, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner. Watch for suspicious activity and/or unsafe conditions and report such. Conduct regular foot patrols and scan points around the site. Maintain security post or security checkpoint , while monitoring, scanning and patrolling according to procedure . Reports security needs and suggestions to Senior Security Supervisor. Assign post to team members on site before start of the shift. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to staff. Ensure team members are in proper uniform and ha ve all necessary equipment to perform the job . Make sure team members are written up for disciplinary actions. Act as liaison between team members and management. Qualifications Minimum 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military, and/or customer service highly desired. Ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy environment and remain flexible. Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner. Climb stairs and ramps during shift. Walk or stand on various surfaces for long periods of time.
